Submit your Artwork

If you make photographs, paintings, illustrations, or things we don’t have a name for yet, send them here. Most of the artists we publish are queer. Not all of them. We don’t check IDs and we don’t require labels.

We look at everything. We reply when we can. If it moves us, we use it.

Before you send anything, read the guidelines, the checklist, and the FAQ below.

Go to:

Guidelines

We accept submissions from photographers, painters, illustrators, and people making things we can’t categorize yet. Most of the artists we publish are queer. Not all of them. We don’t require labels.

If your work moves us, we use it. Here’s what you need to know before sending anything.

Artistic Theme

Photography comes first. Portraits, documentary, staged work, whatever you’ve got. We also make room for painting, illustration, and objects that don’t need a caption.

We don’t have a fixed theme beyond “this made us stop scrolling.” If it involves the human body, intimacy, or identity, it probably fits. If it’s just pornography without intent, it probably doesn’t. We know the difference.

Freedom of expression. That’s the only rule.

Formats

Digital or traditional. For photography, send high-resolution files:

  • Minimum 150 dpi, ideally 300 dpi
  • JPEG, PNG, or TIFF
  • Shorter side at least 1100 px
  • RGB color space

For physical work, send clear documentation photos. We’ll ask for the real thing if we want to show it in the space.

Collaborations

Collaborative work is welcome. Just make sure everyone involved knows what Nervio is and agrees to be here.

Consent & Releases

If your work shows identifiable people, you must have their written consent and a signed model release. All subjects in nude, intimate, or suggestive work must be adults (18+).

We may ask to see your releases at any time. If you can’t provide them, we pull the work. No exceptions.

Ownership

You keep your work. By submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display, publish, and promote it on our platform, magazine, and related channels. You can still sell it, show it elsewhere, or license it to someone else. It’s yours.

Credit

We credit you by the name you give us. If you want a specific link or handle included, tell us.

Promotion

If we feature your work, we’ll post it on our site and social media. We tag you when possible. We don’t pay for promotion — we just show the work.

Adjustments

We won’t edit your work without asking. If we need a crop, color correction, or format change for print, we’ll run it by you first.

Submission Process

Use the submission form below. Make sure you’ve read the guidelines above. We’ll look at everything. We reply when we can.

We don’t do rejection letters. If you don’t hear from us in 60 days, we couldn’t make it work this time. You’re welcome to try again.

Checklist

1. Prepare Your Artwork

Select 7 to 15 high-resolution images. Don’t overthink the edit — send what feels honest, not what you think we want to see.

2. Write a Short Description

Tell us what the work is, why you made it, and what you want it to do. Two or three sentences is enough. We don’t need an artist statement.

3. Provide Credits and Contact Information

Your name, website or social handle, email, and the names of any collaborators or models. If the work is already published somewhere, mention where.

4. Complete the Submission Process

Fill out the form. Accept the terms. That’s it. We’ll be in touch if it works.
